2010 Annual General Meeting

The Sturgeon Point Association’s AGM will be held on Sunday, Sept. 5th at 10:00 a.m. at the Union Church. The meeting will start with a short presentation about the black bears in our community. A representative of the MNR will be on hand to make the presentation, and the discussion will include safety and accident prevention. The AGM will then proceed, following the normal agenda. This will include the nomination of new board members and discussions about recent issues facing the community and plans for the coming year.

The documentation for the meeting, including the minutes of last year’s AGM and this year’s financial statements, can be downloaded by clicking on this link. Refreshments will be provided after the meeting. This is the last event of the summer. Hope to see you there!

The Sturgeon Point Association warmly invites all residents of the Village and their guests to join us in our annual Welcome Back Social in celebration of Canada Day and a new summer season! Please join us at 12:00 noon on Saturday July 3rd, 2010 at the Park in the Woods for a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and neighbours as well as a chance to meet new residents in our village. Enjoy a hotdog, juice, or pop and a dessert while sharing news with those we haven’t seen in a while and making plans for another wonderful summer at Sturgeon Point. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

The spring season brings thoughts of a fresh SPA membership. We all know that feeling, and to help you we’ve posted the this year’s version of the SPA membership form. You can print the form out and return it along with a cheque to cover the membership fees to SPA at your convenience. You can mail it or simply drop it off in the green SPA mailbox at the Park.

Those interested in getting an early look at the documentation package for the upcoming Sturgeon Point Association’s Annual General Meeting can do so by clicking on the following link: SPA AGM Document Package. The document includes the meeting agenda, the minutes of last year’s AGM, and the financial statements. The document is in PDF format, so you can easily print it out and bring it with you. The Annual General Meeting for the Association will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 6 at the Union Church. Refreshments will be served after the meeting. Please plan to attend. This is an excellent opportunity to hear about the projects and issues that have occupied SPA over the past year and those that will be on our plates over the coming year. Its also a great chance to bring forward and discuss issues that are important to you. You can read the SPA AGM Notice and print it out if you like. It includes the agenda for the meeting. Check back soon to get the AGM info package. It will include SPA’s annual financial statements and the minutes of last year’s AGM. See you there!
