Curbside leaf and yard waste pick up in Sturgeon Point

The CoKL collects leaf and yard waste from the curbside collection every spring and fall. This waste will only be collected if properly disposed of in dry paper yard bags and placed by the curb at 7am on your designated day.

The last Autumn curbside leaf and yard waste pick up is on Friday, November 20th.

They also collect branches that have been properly bundled with string or twine, at a size less than 3 feet in length and 40 lbs in weight. Grass and items placed in plastic bags will not be accepted.

Keep your bags dry by placing them in a storage shed, or under a tarp, until they are collected. Did you know you can also bring leaf and yard waste to any of the landfill sites, up to 250 kg free of charge? If the dates don’t align with your schedule, visit a site during operating hours and they’ll be happy to assist you.

As a member of the Sturgeon Point community, you can also take your leaves (and only leaves) to our leaf dump. Just remember to follow the signs! Please check out the Leaf Dump page on the website for all the information.
