Its Membership time!

The spring season brings thoughts of a fresh SPA membership. We all know that feeling, and to help you we’ve posted the this year’s version of the SPA membership form. You can print the form out and return it along with a cheque to cover the membership fees to SPA at your convenience. You can mail it or simply drop it off in the green SPA mailbox at the Park.

This is a reminder that on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. we’ll be having a spring cleanup bee to spruce up the public areas around the Point. We’ll meet at the Park and break into teams. Kawartha Lakes Stewards Association spring meeting

The KLSA is holding their annual spring meeting at the Bobcaygeon Public School on May 8th, 10:00 a.m. The KLSA is one of several active conservation groups with a focus on the care and management of our lakes.  They recently received funding to conduct a study of algae in our lakes. There will be a number of speakers at the meeting (including the Mayor of CoKL) to make presentations on this issue and others. This meeting will be of interest to waterfront owners and all concerned citizens. Click on the link to read the KLSA Spring 2010 Meeting Notice.

Sturgeon Point Golf Club has a new web site

The Sturgeon Point Golf Club is open and looking forward to a great 2010 season. This year the Club has added a web presence to provide guests and members with easy access to Club news and information, including Club newsletters and league results. You can visit the site at: www.sturgeonpointgolf.com. For its part, the SPA web site will continue to maintain a small page that provides a short introduction to the Club and a link to the Club’s site. All the best to everyone at the Golf Club!
