2017 Summer Services
The church holds services each Sunday in July and August, beginning at 10:30am.
|July 2||The Very Reverend Richard Fee. Rick has held many positions in the Presbyterian Church including 16 years of service in Africa and Director of Presbyterian World Service and Development, handling international relief, development and refugee sponsorship. Since his recent retirement he has walked two portions of the Camino in Spain and undertaken two church assignments in Montreal and Toronto.|
|July 9||The Reverend Canon Milton Barry began his ministry in his home province of Saskatchewan. He has served in several parishes in Peterborough and Toronto, including at Grace Church on the Hill where he served for 18 years. He is currently a part-time priest at St. James Emily. Milton lives in Peterborough and is an avid sailor, cottager and curler.|
|July 16||Debbie Sherwin is a Licensed Lay Reader in the United Church. Debbie and her family live in Minden and is active in the Kawartha Highlands Presbytery. She also works part-time as a Registered Massage Therapist.|
|July 23||Jason Myers is a 3rd year Master of Divinity student at Emmanuel College. He is an avid walker and his spiritual life often leads him outdoors to connect with nature. Jason lives in Toronto with his wife and two sons. They are members of Rosedale United Church.|
|July 30||The Reverend Anne Simmonds is adjunct faculty at Emmanuel College where she teaches courses in Death, Dying, Grieving and Prayer. Anne offers spiritual direction, counselling, workshops and retreats, locally and internationally. Her current work draws on her extensive experience in hospital chaplaincy, congregational ministry and life.|
|August 6||Rob Oliphant is the Member of Parliament for the riding of Don Valley West in Toronto.|

|August 20||The Reverend John Ambrose is a retired minister in the United Church. He has served congregations in Mississauga, Toronto, Guelph and Kitchener. Recently, he served as editor of Voices United and is currently Chair of the Board of the United Church Observer. John is a cottager at Hickory Beach.|

|August 27||Reverend Doug Norris is in his 17th year as the minister at Rosedale United Church in Toronto and spends summers lakeside in the Haliburton area in a house that he and his wife Heather have been building for much of the past decade. The wise man has built his house on a rock.|
