Canada Day is almost here, and we’re looking forward to celebrating Canada day with you this Sunday, June 28, from 12:00–2:00 PM in the Park.
There will be food, refreshments, our annual Bake Sale Silent Auction, the SPA Membership Table, and plenty of opportunities to catch up with neighbours and kick off another great summer together.
The historic rain shelter – originally built in 1903 and designated a heritage site – just received a much-needed new roof.
Thanks to the generosity and hard work of Andrew Dunnette and Andrew Wilson, materials and labour have been largely donated to help replace the failing roof and protect the structure.
This is just the beginning. Future work will include restoring the woodwork, reinforcing the foundation, and preserving the distinctive architectural details that make this building so special.
The shelter has stood for 123 years – with care, it will continue to serve the Point for generations to come.
Stay tuned for updates and opportunities to support the next phase of restoration!
