This is a reminder that on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. we’ll be having a spring cleanup bee to spruce up the public areas around the Point. We’ll meet at the Park and break into teams. Bring your rake, brooms, shovels, garbage and recycling bags and anything else you think would be helpful. Light refreshments will be provided.

Kawartha Lakes Stewards Association spring meeting
The KLSA is holding their annual spring meeting at the Bobcaygeon Public School on May 8th, 10:00 a.m. The KLSA is one of several active conservation groups with a focus on the care and management of our lakes. They recently received funding to conduct a study of algae in our lakes. There will be a number of speakers at the meeting (including the Mayor of CoKL) to make presentations on this issue and others. Public meeting Re: Growth Plan Strategy and Municipal Master Plan
The third set of Public Information Centres (PICs) will be held in Lindsay on Wed., January 27th, and on Coboconk on Thur., January 28th. Both meetings start at 7:00 p.m. Note that there will be an open house on both days before the meetings, starting at 4:00 p.m. These meetings represent the public consultation component of the plan development. By-Election News: All Candidates Meeting
There will be an all-candidates meeting on January 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the Bobcaygeon Legion. This will give everyone a chance to hear the candidates in person. Although now format has been publicly announced yet, one can reasonably assume that there will be plenty of oppostunity to ask the candidates questions.
